Craig Corporate has been advising privately-owned businesses for 25 years. Over this time we have built an unrivalled knowledge of advising owners and managers in all types of business environments. We recognise that times are challenging for many at present, a fact supported by recent research we carried out into the fortunes of Scottish family owned SMEs (recently published in The Herald).  Our research showed:

  • 48% of owners had made personal sacrifices to keep their firms afloat
  • 77% of owners have seen no significant improvement in their bottom line since the end of the recession
  • 28% have been forced to change plans for long term succession from the business
  • Perhaps surprisingly, 72% of firms have said they did not believe planned Government spending cuts would have a direct impact on their business

As part of our commitment to supporting businesses in difficult times, we have made two of our most commonly used performance analysis tools - our Business Health Check and our Cash Flow Health Check - available and free to use via our website.

The Business Health Check looks at all aspects of your company's operations, while the Cash Flow Health Check is specifically focused on situations where managing cash is the prime concern.

We frequently use these questionnaires when working with our clients. They contain a series of multiple choice questions and take only a few minutes to complete. Used on their own or together they provide an invaluable insight into any difficulties which a business may be encountering and identify possible remedies and improvements.
